DESCRIPTION

This complete set of phalerae is based on several originals. Phalerae were ‘medals’ that the centurio earned for outstanding achievements. These phalerae were worn around the body by the centurion. Originally these trophies, depicting a face, were used by the Celts. Celtic warriors beheaded their enemies and brought the heads as trophies.
